"Noël Ngiama Makanda « WERRASON » is undoubtedly Africa’s most popular artist.

“Werrason? But, papa, everything goes through him!...He is everything except nothing!” say humoroustically his fans.

He is not only a megastar in his country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, but also in Africa . Each of his public appearances creates collective hysteria.

He affirms his “africaness” without being a militant. He is the symbol of tolerance.

Named “Universal Ambassador of Peace” by UNESCO, he was also received in audience by John Paul the second. Since then, he dedicates a great part of his time to his foundation and to campaigns against AIDS and discriminations.

Werrason’s music, through its modernity, its originality and its rhythm became “ Africa ’s Official Language”. Also thanks to him, Lingala has become the language of the African youth.

His albums are absolute references and his concerts, astounding shows during which no other choice is given to the spectators but to dance.

There is genius in Werrason…."

Congo - Fally Ipupa - Mabele

This is a great tune, with a mesmerizing dance oriented video treatment. The dancing is pretty cool and understated. The art direction and costumes are beautifully coordinated in luscious coffee colored shades of brown, featuring a multitude of textures and patterns. The camera seems to be moving around the stage along with the dancers, and the kaleidascopic special effects add a nice touch as well.
